Converging Lens: A lens such that a beam of light passing through it is brought to a point or focus; used to start a fire.

Converging Lens is a place to discuss and challenge worldviews. It's a place to come together in a unified, cohesive, focused manner to discuss and challenge worldviews. No information is neutral.  Everything delivers ideas, ideas have consequences, and these consequences will ultimately shape our entire life. Sadly, this forth-coming generation appears to have a lackadaisical outlook on life.  The whole "yolo", live-for-the-moment mentality is slowly crippling us.  Questioning culture's ideas has become a foreign concept.

“What is a worldview?”
“Why are worldviews important?”
“Come on, how relevant are they REALLY to my life?”
“I believe that God created the world, wrote the Bible, and that Jesus died and rose again for me. Isn’t that all I need to believe? Why is it so crucial I develop a ‘cohesive Christian worldview’ on top of that?”

This blog seeks to address the questions above and more. The idea is simple: everyone has a worldview, the lens through which you interpret the world. These worldviews are the forces that direct our every action, our every reaction. They are the source of our motives and desires, the reason for our every choice. They are the forces that move culture.

And if worldviews are the movers and makers of cultures, they are undeniably significant.

In our current culture of secularism, not only is it crucial for Christians to understand why our world is the way it is, but also why WE believe what we believe. It’s one thing to say you believe in Jesus. It’s quite another to know why.

And once you know why, how does that apply?

The ongoing exploration of those questions is the purpose of this blog. We would love for you to join us in our pursuit to discover the fullness of what it means to love God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind.
